Our Party Themes
Pre-K Party
(Ages 3-5)
Children do experiments with air, bubbles, and chemistry - the science A, B, Cs! They will be amazed by experiments with color mixing and dry ice. Kids will witness a rainbow and learn where the colors come from. This party will introduce little ones to the fantastic world of science and benefit children on an educational level while keeping them entertained at the same time!
Air Blast
(Ages 5-8)
Kids will be introduced to the world of air pressure! They will get to meet our friend "Eggbert" and be amazed when they explore and play with Mad Science Tornado Tubes and Vortex Generators. The birthday child will challenge a friend to the Styrofoam Race with a gooey twist. These thrilling experiments are just a few of the many in this interactive science party!
Fire & Ice
(Ages 5 to...100!)
Children get to witness exciting chemical reactions and use air pressure to defy gravity! They also get to learn how to levitate. The Mad Scientist then does crazy experiments with a Mad Science Burping Potion, a bubble bath, and fog effects with dry ice! This birthday party requires access to hot water and electricity.
Spark & Glow
(Ages 8-11)
Have you ever seen indoor lightning? You can with this spectacular eye-popping show! Experience indoor lightning, ultra-violet light, indoor fireworks, and be ready to catch your own shadow! See how a Tesla coil works and get your own pair of Rainbow Diffraction Glasses. You won't believe how amazing the properties of electricity can be. This kids party theme requires a room that can be darkened.
Slime Party
(Ages 8-12)
Does your child love slime? Children will be introduced to the ooey-gooey world of polymers and chemical reactions in this hands-on slime birthday party. Each child will get to create and take home up to three different kinds of their very own Mad Science Slime, including cloud and butter slime!

FAQ
When do I pay for a Mad Science party?
We ask for a $100 non-refundable deposit when you book your science party. All payments are due the day of the party, and the deposit will be deducted from your total. You can pay with a check, credit card or cash.
+Do I need to provide anything?
We need a folding table or card table so the Mad Scientist can setup the equipment. We will also need access to water for set-up and clean-up and access to electricity. Please let us know if your party location does not have either of these. After everything is set, the children sit in front of the table on the floor.
+How far in advance do I need to book my Mad Science party?
Our children's party schedule fills up quickly on Long Island. We suggest you book well in advance to get the date and time you want. Generally, 3 weeks in advance is recommended.
+What ages are your parties appropriate for?
Depending on the theme you choose, Mad Science birthday parties are appropriate for children ages 3-11. We determine the number of attendees based on the number of children that actively participate.
+Once I have scheduled my party, can I make changes to it later?
Any changes to your science party must be scheduled at least three business days before your party takes place.
+Can we do the party outdoors?
While we can hold a party outdoors, your child will get the best experience with a party held indoors, as wind and weather affects what we do. Rest assured, Mad Science parties are mess-free, so there is no issue hosting them inside. Some themes, such as Spark and Glow, are required to be indoors.
+What's your policy on tipping?
Gratuity is always appreciated. As with any other service, if you feel the Mad Scientist has done a good job meeting your expectations, you are welcome to give a tip. Please do not include the gratuity in the check or credit card if at all possible.
+Are Mad Science parties messy?
Our parties are not messy at all! If we're making slime indoors, we bring and place tablecloths on the floor and the children sit around it, making any possible mess contained. We can always go outdoors to make slime.
