Learning doesn't have to stop after the bell rings! Mad Science after-school programs are both educational and fun. Our hands-on, one-hour, weekly science programs are themed around a particular area of science and include such topics as electricity, magnetism, optics, chemistry, and many more.

BRIXOLOGY
Using LEGO® bricks, students build a different engineering-themed project in each class. They explore different engineering fields including mechanical, structural, aerospace, nautical, and bioengineering. They use critical thinking and creative problem-solving to test and improve their creations.

This action-packed after-school program is bubbling over with classic experiments and crazy concoctions. Perform spectacular hands-on activities using real tools. Schoolhouse Chess of Long Island
Schoolhouse Chess is devoted to helping students develop learning and thinking skills by teaching them chess. Chess has been proven to help with logic, memory, analysis, reading, and mathematics, and has even been shown to improve IQ. We teach chess through exciting presentations for Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced chess players.

How long are your programs (weeks and hours)?
Our standard program meets once a week, and is held immediately after school for 1 hour. It typically lasts for 6 or 8 weeks. However, Mad Science can accommodate requests for the duration of each program. We will be happy to discuss any atypical scheduling needs.
+Who pays for an after-school program?
Typically, after-school programs are paid for by parents. In some cases, a PTO or other organization may opt to subsidize part or all of the students' enrollment.
